A small winery on, you guessed it, the Donnelly River in Western Australia that has been waiting for the fruit to make this premium pinot. It probably won’t happen every year but this wine shows what can be done here with the right fruit and treatment. I’m not sure of cellaring potential.
The nose shows cherries and chocolate aromas. The palate has chocolate and sweet berry fruit and the quality of the fruit is allowed to shine through.
The winemaker says ‘It has been a long time coming but at last we have the fruit for it’
‘It’ is a lovely wine and we look forward to its progress.
