Yes, yes, I know what you’re saying – Cab Sauv from McLaren Vale? Do we really care?

Well, I can tell you if you get your taste buds into this little charmer, you will begin to care; what a revelation for a wine that can be had at south of $20.

Colour is clear deep ruby red.

Nose has blackcurrant, ripe plum, some chocolate and some sweet oak. Palate is medium bodied with a silky texture, really fine in the mouth.

There are all the above characters here too, but the thing that sets this wine apart are the finest, most fabulous tannins I have tasted in a sub $20 wine. This wine would worry some at twice the price, it is quite simply, just moreish.

This is yet another gem discovered by my wine broker at Langton’s, Rob Scully, and they have come through with some standout wines at every price point … this is another.
