The colour is still red/crimson with no show yet of any brick or tawny traces. The nose has blackcurrant, mulberries and a little mint.
Palate is medium to full bodied with some plummy flavour, the blackcurrant and mulberry, and a lovely smooth and long finish. There are lovely fine grained and velvety tannins, and the oak has receded completely into the background.
For well cellared examples, there are still many years ahead for this wine. There is plenty of sediment in the bottle so it needs to be double decanted ready for tasting.
