As soon as the warm weather comes along I start to think about Pinot Grigio … especially when matched with a dozen Sydney rock oysters. This is the combination we enjoyed at the weekend in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
The Windy Peak label is not from the top end of De Bortoli Wines but the Pinot Grigio is crisp and clean with a distinctive nose of hay and honey and finishes with a hint of citrus. It will be a welcome addition to the brand and it matched well with the oysters and is available for less than $10. What a bargain!
Don’t put this in the cellar, just drink it!
