The nose shows rich ripe plummy fruit and berries with hints of chocolate and licorice.
Palate is fleshy with that ripe plummy fruit and quite suptuous, with some noted acohol. Soft tannins and soft spices lead to a full and fruit driven finish. Any oak is well in the background and there are no hard edges.
This is pretty big and won’t be everone’s cup of tea (or wine) I’d like to try it with BBQ chops and rump steak and salad.
