Well here we are on our last day at the beautiful Reid Family Vineyard in Napa Valley. Mary Ellen, that chef of unbounded talent, prepared our lunch of grilled ahi over caesar salad. The ahi is rubbed in sesame oil and crusted in sesame seeds.
This was accompanied by a Reid Family Vineyard Kyla’s Cuvée, a blend of 67% Chardonnay and 33% Viogner. This wine sees no oak and is therefore able to show off its clean-fruit driven lines of citrus and orange blossom. Made in only tiny quantities, on the showing of this beautiful wine, plans are afoot to increase volumes for next vintage.
