This living treasure from Mudgee was enjoyed recently with slow cooked Greek lamb, potatoes, sliced mushrooms and gravy.

A truly wonderful wine drinking superbly right now but will probably cellar for another 10 easy. This wine belies the 14.5% alcohol and indeed is refined, reserved and above all in superb balance. It seems only medium to full bodied and has a nose of dark fruits and some earth, leather and chocolate. The palate is as clear and clean as a bell with great structure, great length and the greatest flavour. Tannins are now completely settled and integrated with the beautiful fruit flavours. If only we had the foresight to get a dozen of these at the time; this shows what wonderfully expressive wines can be made from this area with the right approach.
